All the files disappeared from Desktop and from C:

Hello guys,

Some days agoI was turning on my computer from hybernation and I found that there was any folder in my desktop. Neither in C:.
Files and documents are completely disappeared. I tried lots of stuff (recuva, system restoration to a previous state, to check for errors in the disk, to show folder on desktop, to install and run FRST, to run explorer.exe) but it was not useful.

I have ran the antivirus (I have panda antivirus) and it found 2 dangerous files.
It may be the cause? There is a way to have my files back in my computer?
Can you help me?

If it was deleted by viruses, most likely it's a cryptolocker type that has already modified your files and there's likely no way to get them back. You should get better AV software, bitdefender, kaperskey, norton , after you reformat your computer.

@basroil. Thank you for your advice. It was really helpful and clear. I was not aware about those "cryptolocker" but as I read on the web they are quite dangerous and hidden. I was thinking that Panda was a good AV but I will try something else.
