Question All usb 3.0 ports stopped working

Recently my usb 3.0 ports have all stopped working. All the usb 2.0 ports work perfectly fine. Neither the case ports nor the motherboard ports on the rear will support accessories. I have tried updating all drivers, unplugging and replugging the usb cables into the motherboard with no luck... one weird thing is also that when i plug my xbox controller into a usb 3.0, it recognizes it, but will refuse to use it. In device manager i get this message

. But when i plug into usb 2.0 it works fine.
When i plug my wireless headset receiver into my usb 3.0 it connects, but wont support another accessory

system spec? update motherboard chipset driver?

mobo- asus m5a99x evo
GPU - geforce 980 ti
CPU - amd fx-8350

And havent tried that yet, will do now.
