Well I was playing Rust for a few hours and suddenly all my USB devices stop working, first it's the ones in the back of the mobo, then 20 seconds later my front USB stops too. So I restart my computer and get an error "USB status over current" then with a bit of a scare of my computer not being able to turn on it goes back to booting up but this time it can't detect the keyboard and there is no power to my keyboard or anything. I tried all the USB ports and unplugging the front USB from my mobo, everything has been working for months and my mobo was recently RMA'd so it should be fine. Any suggestions would be great, btw my mobo is a ASUS m5a97 r2.0

This is normally a result of a short circuit in one of the usb ports or somewhere within that system, get a torch and inspect those ports, that all the pins inside are not bent and touching a side. since unplugging the fronts don't help, inspect the rest especially .

If not try resetting bios config to default with the bios reset button and try. will need to restore bios settings after like sata mode to ahci etc though
