all wifi devices can't connect to internet

My PC can connect to the internet via the LAN cable, but the wifi devices such as cell phone, tablet, and laptop cannot connect, it would ask me to enter the password when I select the network, and even though I entered the right one, the same "enter password" box would repeatedly appear. In some other cases, when I click on the network, it would simply say "unable to join network". And often time, I can't even find our network in the list, even though the router is 2 meters away.

I suspect that my roommate is doing something that is preventing these wifi devices from connecting. The reason why I believe this is that the first time I noticed this problem, I asked him if he changed any router setting, he said no, and then went on his PC to check the settings, and after half a minute all devices could connect, but he denies having changed anything. And now 1 days later, the same thing happened.

My roommate asked me to change our network provider because he plays/hosts some online game and needed this thing (don't know what it was/means) that the old router/internet didn't have. So I'm wondering if he's now doing this thing, but it is preventing all wifi devices from connecting.

So is there such a feature that would prevent wifi devices from connecting? Thank you.

Assuming you have access to the router, log in and take screenshots of the wifi settings pages and any other relevant pages. When this happens again check the settings to the screenshots. Alternately, many routers have a logging function where setting changes are noted. Look for changes that correspond to the times you have experienced the problem.

I would assume a hardware problem rather than your roommate is acting badly until there is evidence otherwise.
I'd suspect MAC filtering, but it just sounds like the password you're putting in is actually incorrect. (even if you say it's the right one)

Perhaps login to the router with the PC, change the wireless password to something you know, and try connect over wireless again.

no it definitely is right, because i made the devices show the characters.

you could hard reset the router to default settings. you will have to set it up again but if he changed any settings causing issues they will be all returned back to normal.

also are you sure your entering the correct password. 2.4ghz and 5ghz can be set to different passwords and if your typing the right password for the wrong freq it wont work. for all you know he locked you out of one freq so he can use all that's freq bandwith.
