I have never done Set@home, but I know that many have. I found this on http://www.arstechnica.com/
Those of you who are part of any SETI team likely know the generous work of Roelof Engelbrecht, the producer of SETI Spy. SETI Spy is a sweet performance viewer, much used and much loved. Roelof is a dedicated SETI user, and his efforts on SETI Spy have brought new people to the project and even revived interest in others. Sadly, Roelof has been diagnosed recently with Primary Sclerosing Colangitis (PSC), a rare, untreatable liver disease for which the only cure is a liver transplant. Although Roelof has insurance, his Liver Transplant Team has already advised him that he needs to come up with $50,000 in order to meet the necessary post-deductible costs and the like. In the past, Ars as a community has done some amazing things, including buying properly-equipped computers for disabled individuals and the like. If you can spare a donation, please visit Roelof's page and help him through this.
I know there are a lot of decent people on these boards, our support should be up for any in need.

Im going to post this here and in the "Other" area...

... And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free, and I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.

Yeah, I use setispy... and that message comes up when you download the newest version. If I wasn't poor I'd help him.

Some day I'll be rich and famous for inventing a device that allows you to stab people in the face over the internet.

Damn I wish my wallet had more than a dime in it. *checks his wallet* Hey where did my dime go! I was saving that!

Treat your body like a $600 car. God didn't intend it to last so use it. Run it into the ground!

He's had the transplant, things have been going up & down for him since,he feels better but some medication caused problems with his new liver(they've now altered that & its ok).
Also they discovered his old Liver had cancer & that cancerous cells were left behind so he needs radiation and chemotherapy for 6-7mths! :(

Good luck Roelof! ,hope things get better from here on!:)
