Almost every game i play crashes and i don't know what's wrong.

As the title says, just about every game i play either crashes immediately after i start it or after playing some time. I have had this issue ever since i completed my build and I don't know what causes the issue, or if it's a software or hardware thing.

Cpu and ram are overclocked, could this cause an issue? If yes, how am i sure this is the issue?

Gigabyte G1 GTX 1080
ryzen 1700@3.74Ghz
16gb Dominator Platinum@ 2993mhz
Asus x370 pro mobo
Samsung 960 evo 250gb (boot)
WD Black 2tb (storage)

if temperatures ok then its your overclock.downclocked restart and try if it works.

I agree with Greg, it is highly likely to be the overclock. I know from my experience, certain software would crash a system mainly due the voltage drop of the overclock and the other cores kicking in (when using software that uses multiple cores). You could try and increase your CPU voltage slightly to stabalize your system. It is less likely to be the RAM overclock.

I have removed all overclocks and will report back tomorrow.

may help turn off firewall for couple minutes start the game(S) see if its crash

Tried it, still crashing.

I should note that almost every crash states something about DirectX, d3d11,...

I've tried reinstalling drivers, i've tried other gpu's, i've tried reinstalling directx, nothing.
