Hello ! My friend is trying to install GW2 on a Alienware notebook and when he tries to launch the game installer, it says that he can't find the AlphaBlend in the dynamic links MSIMG32.dll library. Does someone know how to fix that ? Thanks !

Thank you for taking the time to answer, but he can't even install the game... He cant launch the installation, neither from the disc or by downloading the game..

He tries tu execute the Guild Wars 2.exe to initialize the setup, but an error box pops out telling us that the AlphaBlend procedure can't be found in the dynamic links MSIMG32.dll library. (Roughly translated from French) and the setup can't be launch.. it's quit annoying 🙁

Hi :)

NOOOOO You must not execute the .exe file , you just autoplay the disc...what happens then ???

All the best Brett :)

Have a look in C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 for MSimg32.dl_.

You will need to extract it to MSimg32.dll and place it in the system32 folder.

With a Command Prompt with admin privages, run .. sfc<space>/scannow
to check for any corrupt files.

If that does work, run the command .. Regsvr32<space>"C:\Windows\System32\msimg32.dll"
