Already have FX 3450, now what?

Hello: I have an old Dell 390 workstation that wil only run XP so I need to replace it and may build my own. It has a Quadro FX 3450 which seems to be not too shabby even today so my ? is this: Is it worth keeping and how will that effect my mobo and other choices for my new home built PC? You'll have to see if you get any decent offers for it. It's just above average for gaming. I wouldn't give it away. Instead go ahead and build your new system and try it out on your favorite games. You need to list a budget and your favorite games before ordering parts for more advice.
