ALT+TAB causes Windows to crash?

Ok so yesterday when I tried to ALT+TAB my game froze and I couldn't do anything on the computer unless I restarted it. I couldn't even type anything anywhere because then that program would crash (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Windows button + R, Notepad you name it) and the taskbar freezes as well. I found out that my windows was updating my itself (I haven't been updating it for a while) so I figured it was that causing it.

When the update was done updating everything worked fine, I could ALT+TA again without windows crashing on me until I woke up today and I had the same issue as yesterday and my pc is up-to-date ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I need immediate help, I alt tab a lot so i need that function. Thanks in advance.

have you updated your graphics drivers recently? See if you have latest
what are specs of PC? What GPU do you have?
what game?

Is this you or just a coincidence?

if you have NVidia it could be the latest drivers playing up, I would run DDU and then Windows Update and use the drivers built into windows - http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2767677/clean-graphics-driver-install-windows.html
