My alt tab key doesn't actually alt tab, but instead my task bar goes crazy and computer freezes up for a second or two. Is this an OS problem or a hard drive problem, or something else?

Video of said problem is here:

filmed on my phone sorry :\

I turned focus assist off and it happens even If i do not have anything else open, so it is not that.
Also, no other glaring problems other than alt tab, really.

Solution
Can you attempt to trying Windows Key + Tab? I'm curious if it's a problem with Windows Explorer and that's a similar feature that might help us get more of a feel for the underlying issue.

Solution
When I get any misbehavior like this from a native Windows keyboard shortcut I instantly suspect a corruption in the OS installation (provided you know you don't have a failing keyboard - always try another keyboard - and if it's a laptop use a plug-in USB keyboard - to see if the misbehavior is consistent).

If it's not the keyboard, the first thing to try is these instructions:

Using SFC (System File Checker) and DISM (Deployment Imaging Servicing and Management) to Repair Windows 8 & 10

Yeah, when I was posting this thread I looked up a couple of solutions and one of them was SFC, which worked. Alt tab works now! Thanks
