Alt+Tab shows hidden windows that can't be closed?

I'm still new to Windows 10, and I like the new Task View to switch between apps, but for quickly jumping between the last used apps I always found Alt+Tab to be very useful. In Windows 10 I get a stupid amount of active apps to pick from though, many of which can't be opened or closed. Why are they even there and what is going on?

Hoping it's ok to link to an image, so here's one of what the Alt+Tab window can look like for me, with only 4 programs actually running: http://postimg.org/image/ywk7ckd67/

I upgraded from Windows 7, might be the brilliant programmers at MS missed something. Probably gonna have to bite the bullet and do a fresh install instead later. Want GPT instead of MBR too so... I just hate reinstalling an OS on my home PC used for EVERYTHING. Takes a full weekend.
