Hi! I'm using 19" HCL LCD monitor. The AC Adatpter is dead. The adapter model that I was using: ADPC1260AB. Its capacity:
Input: 100-240V ~ 1.5A (50-60Hz)
Output: 12Vdc --- 5.00A

I want to replace this dead one.

Currently I have another (SMPS) adapter (http://www.shopclues.com/power-adapter-smps-9v-1a-ac-input-100-240v-ac.html) of the same 100-240V AC. (SMPS 9V 1A AC INPUT 100-240V AC)

Can I use this one?

I don't have much knowledge about such electrical products. Please guide me.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Solution
No, you should not use that one - PRODUCT DETAILS: POWER ADAPTER SMPS 9V 1A AC INPUT 100-240V AC

The output is only 9 Volts and 1 Amp - you need 12 Volts and 5 Amps.
No, that one appears to be 9V AC, and you need 12V DC. I suspect a "universal" type adapter will meet your needs. They come with an assortment of tips, and can be adjusted for tip polarity. Many can be set for a range of output voltages.
A place like Radio Shack may have a suitable replacement.

@Sindhuja, the specifications of the adapter required by you and the specifications of the adapter mentioned by you through the link are not same. That adapter will not work for your LCD. You must have to go for the same parameters of the adapter. Search for the required specifications and you will get the same that will match your requirement.
