I have just upgraded my PC with a 4790k and a H70 cooler. However when i went to check my temperatures on Open Hardware monitor they were jumping around between 33 and 36 degrees really quickly. Is this the actual temp of my CPU or is it wrong? Is there any other software that would give me a stable reading?

Solution
There can be very quick transitions in temp depending on what the CPU is doing. It could also be the software has a very short interval between samples. The more often your temp is sampled, the more erratic it will appear. Some software lets you change this timing. I'm not familiar with Open Hardware. I use HWInfo64 and it works very well. There are other options like SpeedFan, HWMonitor, or the basic Speccy.
