Hello, 4 years ago I got 2 modules from this specific type and I´ve been wanting to increase my RAM from 16gb to 32gb for a while, however I´ve been struggling trying to find this specific module, I´ve been searching on Amazon and eBay with no luck, which has lead me to think that this specific model has been discontinued for some reason, which, I don't understand since, at least for me, has been an awesome RAM...

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good equivalent or better alternatives to Kingston Hyperx Savage Memory Black - 8Gb - Ddr4 2133Mhz Intel Xmp? my motherboard is a ASUS H170 PRO GAMING Intel LGA 1151 H170.

Memory manufacturers guarantee memory in the form it is sold. Combining memory by identical part numbers carries no guarantee to work or how it runs if the PC does boot up.

Often such combinations require running at a slower speed and higher voltage if the PC does boot up. You may be unable to get the memory to run at a speed of DDR4-1866MHz on your motherboard.

Interesting, I just went and got this RAM since I read somewhere (can't remember the exact source) that it should be compatible with my motherboard, I´ve had no issues with it since I installed it, however I did not check if it was actually running at 2133MHz.

So, If my motherboard can't handle more than DDR4-1866MHz should I upgrade my RAM size with slower modules?
