Alternative to the Wayback Machine?

There is an online newspaper article that's no longer available that I've found via the Wayback Machine, but the WM has not archived the images in the article. Is there some other place I might find them archived? There is an URL to the image, but the WM tells me not archived.

This is a 2013 article so I doubt Google has it cached (am I wrong?).

Best case; contact the newspaper and ask for the old article with images. They may have it archived fully. Other than that, i know of no other way to get those images.

some users may have saved or shared the article with the images intact.

Unless the images weren't in embedded form. If images were in embedded form, then images won't show up when the source image is deleted/removed.

I don't know what on line news paper you are looking for the article in but as an example if you were looking for it in the LA Times.

Some local libraries also keep archives of the local newspaper(s). This will most likely be in the form of microfiche. I used that method to find a picture and article about a local BMX track back in the 80's. It involved a LOT of hunting.
