Alternatives for a hardwired internet connection?

I used to have to rely on horribly unreliable internet from a wifi extender but then my ISP found a solution which involved using some kind of converter box which took the telephone jack input in my room and turned it into a hub so i could technically have hardwired ethernet via that port. And it worked very well for a year but then we upgraded to fibre which tippled our speeds from 50 down/up to 150 down/up and it suddenly stopped working to our surprise and to the surprise of the person who installed the fibre. Now i'm stuck again with the unreliable ethernet. Is there any way I can be hard wired again through that method my ISP used with my telephone jack input?

The said converter is probably only rated for the slower speed. If you are lucky they may sell a high-speed version.
