alternatives for mechanical pens and heatsink locks.

hello. what are the altenative for mechanical pens and heatsink locks? i don't have a mechanical pen. also the heatsink locks, one of mine is broken. what else locks the heatsink with possibly starting a fire? what about the mechanical pen? can anyone help me?

An alternative for a mechanical pen might be a quill pen.

Although I've built several pcs on the intel side. I've always hated the locking pins thing. it seems so flimsy and not secure.
I would just as soon go and get a decent aftermarket cooler like the cooler master hyper 212 and be done with it!
