Am I able to upgrade to sli

I have a msi gtx 1070 in my PC I was not happy with my frame rate and now want to upgrade to sli as I will buy another 1070 will I be able to simply plug in everything in the PC and put the driver disk in and then have it start using both GPUs or will there be more complications or errors in what I'm doing

What motherboard do you have?

Sli has many drawbacks which include not all games support it and recently support has been getting worse, game developers don't want to invest in something few people use. If you are not happy with performance I'd sell your 1070 and get a single 1080Ti avoiding all the downsides of sli.

What resolution and Hz are you gaming at?
