[SOLVED] Am I bottle-Necked or Optimal? New GPU!

Hey guys,

Need some advise. Have been running EVGA 1080TI SC2 for couple years, but just upgraded to EVGA 3090 XC3 Ultra 24GB.

My question is will any components on my current system bottleneck the performance of my new GPU? Thanks everyone in advance!

Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D
Motherboard: Asus STRIX Z370-E
CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K 3.7GHz
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX1080 Ti SC2 GAMING
RAM: G.SKILL RipjawsV DR4 3200 16GB
Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU 27" WQHD NVIDIA G-SYNC IPS
HDD: Samsung 970 EVO M.2 PCIe SSD 500GB
Power Supply: Corsair HX1000i

Depends on what you mean by "bottleneck".

If you're thinking that the addition of the 3090 will make things slower, no.
In some extereme examples, the 8700k may not let the new 3090 reach its full potential, but that's it.

Sorry, I should've clarified that.

I am wondering if any of the pre-existing components on my PC will Prevent the 3090 Ultra from reaching it's potential as everything is older then the 3090.

The CPU will continue to feed frames at the same rate it always did.
The new GPU can process that same framerate at a higher level of eyecandy.
The 3090 could process more fps at this higher level of eyecandy. But the CPU cannot provide that.

Again, this is at the extreme levels of settings.
