Am I doing it right? (First Build)

[strike][/strike]Hi, I'm building my first gaming rig and stressing over whether or not everything will fit/ work. I ran it through PC Part Picker and everything is compatible, but can you guys help me out and make sure I'm not missing anything (aside from peripherals) and it'll work come build time? Thanks!
Edit: For gaming, would a quad core be better than a dual core?

But if the motherboard is micro atx does the power supply need to be micro atx as well?

Compatibility Notes

Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs.

Also, you might consider switching off AMD for now and going Intel. That CPU family is four years old and Intel's weakest skylake offering (Intel CORE i3 6100) beats it out. Unless you need quad-core work (even then I'd invest in an i5-6500 or something) I would get the i3 or better.

You don't have an aftermarket CPU cooler. The stock AMD coolers are quite loud and under gaming load your CPU might get close to the safe limits / exceed them and it will be noisy.

That seagate drive has a reputation for being cheap and breaking easily. (In fact mine might already have broken after 1 month) I would suggest a Western Digital drive, they seem to be quite durable. WD Black is best known for gaming however I used my brother's WD Blue in my old desktop and that was quite nice too.

I can't verify it but I don't know how good the quality is of that XFX power supply. I personally over-watt 200 PAST whatever settings I want to run on (factoring in an overclock) so I naturally would get 550W... I don't think it's essential but you might wanna consider expansions in that PSU too.

I agree that you might want to look at an i3. That AMD platform is dead, and depending on your usage, you will be better served by a Skylake i3 build.

and use the money to get a 120 GB SDD for boot drive, and higher clock will also be better for games.

At $50 above what I assume your budget is, this PC should be quite nice. Ideally to get under your budget go for an i3, and if you wanna bring it to exacts swap around the SSD / Hard Drive / Whatever you need to swap.
