Question Am i done here? Can i still fix this?

My laptop has been overheating and thermal throttling for a few weeks and i decided to repaste it.
At first i could turn on the laptop and log into Windows. But after that, the laptop turns off. And i cannot turn it on again. Sometimes i can turn on and the ROG logo appears, but the laptop turns off itself again.
So i reopened the laptop and it seems like some paste had gone onto motherboard. Is it the reason? (And it’s just so hard to take them off. )Can anyone help me?

i used ARCTIC MX-4

I think i have fixed it. I think i put thermal pads in a wrong place so the heat pipeline didnt shut properly and the laptop keeps turning off. Now i removed the thermal pads and replaced them, everything seems to be fine now.
