Question Am I fine with my RAM slots in my third and fourth slot (not dual channel)

For the past three days I have been struggling with my first 2 RAM slots not working, I feel like I have tried everything from reseating my cpu 5 times, checking the coolers, messing with the settings in BIOS, clearing CMOS etc.

So my question is if I do leave my RAM in these slots how much can I expect my performance on games to worsen? I’d try to buy some new parts but I can’t afford that right now so would be great to know how bad my performance will suffer

RAM is DDR4 3600 32 gigs
12th Gen Intel
RTX 4070

Not a great great deal, it'll keep you going, but yeah running single channel will hurt a little bit.

I wouldn't reseat cpu anymore, those lga pins have a limit, so many times before they start breaking. That's what I've heard long ago, if still the case im not sure. Just cautionary measure. Id make sure the cooler isn't on too tight, like half turn back from max with tension screws. An over tensioned mount can cause stress to pins and dram dramas.

What happens if you run a single stick, either of the two you have, in a2?

Neither of them work only the B slots, tysm for responding btw + do you know like HOW much performance will suffer? Like an estimate or a percentage. Makes sense if you don’t but would be greatly appreciated if so

I edited post above a little. Check tension on cooler, slack it off a little then try again.

I know dual channel has advantages, how much exactly i wouldn't know. A cop-out answer from me to see single vs dual channel youtube comparisons. Capacity would matter more though.

If after loosening cooler a bit and still they don't work, it's probably the board and id settle for that for now until you upgrade at some point.

Is board still under warranty? If not don't worry about it.
