Hello guys, I just wanted to know if anyone could help me with this issue i'm having. Lets use BF3 as an example here, on the map "Operation Metro" I get around 30 fps on the surface, and 60 fps underground. This is on high settings and here are my specs,
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model: GA-890FXA-UD5
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1075T Processor (6 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 8190MB RAM
Page File: 2876MB used, 13500MB available
Windows Dir: C:\Windows
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Crossfire'd 6850's

Does this sound right for the amount of frames per second im getting? I dont think so. Some other person said he had an i5 and a gtx 470 and was running at 60 fps on the surface. Does anyone know if my framerate is too low and if they could help me resolve this issue? Thanks.

BF3 is a very CPU intensive game.

The person your comparing yourself to could have had 4.5GHz+ on the cores of the i5-2500k along with an overclocked GTX 470. They could also have been playing on a lower resolution. All of these could easily make up for those differences in FPS.

Personally im running GTX 560Ti (950MHz) and i5-2500k (4.4GHz) and was getting 35+ FPS outside on ULTRA.

Are you sure this is true? AMD received a driver update the same as Nvidia did.

remember though that it isn't true ultra or DX11 so you are getting unrealistic fps compared to how the actual game will perform.

BETA should not be considered a benchmarker, its like Alpha testing as in its only a part of the full performance that we are seeing right now.

You don't need to remind me that :D

Final games can never be determined based on a BETA, too much changes :) and graphics settings could be totally different. Im fairly sure DICE will want to save us some of the most impressive visuals for the final release :sol:

From the battlelog forums:

I am running 6850s in crossfire. I also have a 6 core cpu, 6 gig ram, running windows 7 64 ultimate. AMD 11.10 beta driver. Running the game in high settings I am getting between 40 and 60 fps (generally off memory) it runs well basically in high. I notice some low framerates when I set it to Ultra.

There is also a BF3 performance guide on the Nvidia site

Its me, the OP. Thank you for all your help, just wanted to add that BF3 isnt the only game where people say they have higher fps than me and have equal hardware that I have. Also im having a problem with my monitor randomly going black and saying "entering power saving mode" and my computer freezes and i have to force restart it. Anyone know anything about this? Figured that we could solve 2 problems at once :D
