Am I going to bottleneck my rig?

Just wondering that with my future build, I plan to get a Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition GPU and a AMD FX-8350 CPU. Will this bottleneck my system? Thanks in advance.

You just bought a 8350, and now you are asking if a 7970 will bottleneck your system? Kinda wondering why you bought a 8350 then.

But the answer is no. You got a great CPU.

Definitely not. An 8350 does not bottleneck anything.

But the answer is no. You got a great CPU.

Sorry i'm a bit newbie at this, this is my first build. I meant that I plan to get both, and I wanted to know in advance whether it would bottleneck as it would be pointless buying them otherwise!

just make sure to get a good CPU cooler.

BTW, the 8320 is a great buy. It's $40 cheaper and I'd probably buy that and spend an extra $40 cooling it...in the end you could get a higher overclock over a 8350.
