Hi All,

I would say im a novice at this, I built my first (and only) pc back in lockdown and havn't upgraded anything since apart from the RAM. I also didn't know too much about monitors and just got the one I thought looked good. my query is this:

I play World of Warcraft on max settings, all bench marks say my hardware is great and should run many games, especially World of Warcraft with no issues. The game runs fine, however my FPS is on average 40-60fps. sometimes higher sometimes lower, I would expect some frame drops in certain locations & situations but as an average I would expect more than 40-60 fps. I may be wrong about this but just hoping someone could look at my setup and suggest if anything should be upgraded or changed. I'm wondering if it's my monitor which is the issue but not sure.

Just to note I have looked into this before and changed suggested settings on my pc (monitor refresh rate at max, overclocking etc etc...)

Here is a link to my benchmark which was taken today. Any help and advise would be massivle appreciated.

Your CPU is holding you back. WoW is very CPU dependent. Bios update your board, and drop in a 5700x3d, and should see quite the improvement. I did going from a 3700x to a 5800x back when I was using my AMD rig, with a regular RTX 2060, at 1440p no less. Had a friend using a 5700xt and saw quite the improvement going form a 3600 to a 5600 as well. WoW loves x3d chips too.

Amazing, thank you.

I've just updated the BIOS and will look into the cpu now. 😁
