Hi,

My notebook came with 8gb of RAM. I installed 8gb more today, from a slightly different brand, because I couldn't find the original memory on the market.

Is this going to run ok?

The way to go about things is to ask first and then buy, not the other way around. In your case, you should've bought a 2x8GB kit since they'd be matched from the factory. You have two sets of rams, with minor differences in the other stick of ram. If you experience BSOD's, the first thing I'd do is make sure you've got the latest BIOS version on your laptop but the main cause of the BSOD's would likely be due to the mismatched sticks in your laptop.
