am I overclocking my gpu too much?(new overclocker here)

I got a gigabyte r9 390 yesterday and I decided to try overclocking for the first time for witcher 3 so I upped the power limit by 10% and upped the core clock from 1020 to 1050 and it rose from 75-76c to 80-84c at 100% gpu usage, is it safe? I want the gpu to last for at least 3 years and I dont want any damage to its lifespan or anything, should I just give up on overclocking the card or is the tempature ok?

It should be okay. Overclocking does sometimes reduce the lifespan of parts, but it normally isn't by that much. You have a great gpu anyways though, so you shouldn't really need to overclock it unless your using it on really heavy games.
