not necessarily. if you have a processor with good integrated graphics, you can run these games smoothly , since these games are pretty old now.

Anything that you get a display on the screen with runs on a graphics card. If that card is a add-on $400 gaming one or one built into a $60 CPU is another thing. Although the onboard video "cards" are not really cards but just a section of the chips so I guess it would be a video "chip", or a part of a chip.
