Hi i recently built my first PC and I am still learning as i go so sorry if this is just really dumb question. also im not sure if this would go under Windows 8 so sorry ahead of time.

Basically i want to know if i could install a different set of drivers so i can use a LAN cable to connect to the internet. i was basically forced to install the Killer Network drivers in order to get a connection.

OS - Windows 8.1 64bit
Motherboard - Z97-GD65 GAMING

Well I have been getting really high ping in servers that i played on when i was using my Mac i would get really low ping. Take the main server i play on i would get ping in low 20s or 40s when i played on my old Mac. But now with on my PC I am in the 90s sometimes even 100s. and i did some digging around and it said that most of lag would be caused my the Killer network drivers. I mostly want to test to see if i changed the drivers if it would fix the problem. i have also ported all the games i have installed and made sure the nothing else was running and that my firewall wasn't blocking it

so i am stuck with them?

i have the manager. i tried to uninstall it and it uninstalled the drivers. so i installed the drivers again with the manager since i wasnt give an option to not install it. So i went to the MSI website got the drivers only cant figure out how to install it since there is no setup program or even a .exe only 3 files a .cat .inf and .sys

k i did that and it didn't show up on my list of drivers. so i restarted still nothing. unplugged the cable then connected it again nothing. had to re install the whole thing with the manager again to access to the interenet
