Am I turning Logitech G920 too hard?

Recently I bought Logitech G920 steering wheel with pedals. I connected it to my PC, downloaded Logitech software. I play simulators only (Assetto Corsa and Project cars). These games have pretty strong force feedback. In first tries it was very unusual to feel it and often crashed for not countering it. Also it felt notched. I later rethought my driving strategy and started to counter it, but I think I'm doing this bit too strong. Problem is that when I counter too strong it feels like it skips some force feedback steps, doesn't center and always force feedback "centers" itself bit to left.


And when I try to center it with my hand it turns to right


Repluging USB wire to PC fixes this annoyance


My question is, am I turning it too hard or is it defective? Could this be somehow fixed?

And I didn't crash that BMW, so it's definitely not my driving failure or game feature and it happened to me in both games, so bug is out of question.

Tho we have build a while lotta PCs for folks, I never had one for anyone that used a steering wheel. I actually did buy one for my youngest son about 10 years ago, but after a few tries he gave it up ... it'[s sitting in a corner somewhere.

Reason I went thru that is I don't think a large % of peeps here will have the experience to help you. I think your best bet might be to call Logitech Tech Support. I do remeber that, tho much less common these days, some Logitech doo dads wanted you to install the drivers BEFORE ya connect the device. Check your manual ... I doubt it as haven't seen this in quite a while but was common practice back in the day and wanted to mention it just in case.

There's no such thing as manual, only connection guide and warranty paper. Calling to Logitech is probably out of question, because I live in Lithuania. I followed on screen driver update instructions.

Without actually being able to see and feel the setup, no way to really say if you are using too much force. I have used a force-feedback Logitech steering wheel, and when you are losing traction it can feel like the wheel is hopping a bit. The centering thing is a bit odd, did you calibrate the wheel? Maybe just practice a bit with it, if you end up over-doing the wheel you can turn it past what the center is and basically it will think it's in a position it's not. A bit like turning a stripped screw, you can turn it but it does not catch, which is likely why it's not centered, but then is again when it resets.

Check for force feedback options in the games, there should be a setting there for how much there is.

Tried everything, that you suggested. Brought wheel to warranty, got new one, but same happens and it's worse. Now I'm contacting Logitech there https://community.logitech.com/s/question/0D53100006azwCOCAY/g920-autocentering-problem
