AM2+/AM3 Question

I am buying this board for my x4 940 build:

Now it shows that it is AM3 compatible so that means if I want to upgrade later on in the AM3 (x4 955 maybe) line, those CPU's will fit into my mobo. My question is, since AM3 uses DDR3 ram and this mobo only supports DDR2, doesn't that mean I'll need to get a new mobo if I want to upgrade later?

Yes, the choice of getting the Am2+ boards is so AMD gamers or builders can save some time not dealing with the pricey ddr3 and am3 pricey boards.

Now, as i said when this came to life, watch the ddr3 price drop and then get this stuff.

ddr3 1600 you can get as low as $67.99 now for 2x2gb.

So, If you want, save some money and get this combo.
