Hello guys.

I'm looking for a high-end MicroATX motherboard for either AM2 or LGA775. Can you suggest any motherboard which you know to be good? I'm thinking about something that'll support Gb-Ethernet, 4GB of RAM, a couple of SATA-HDs, and a GF8800.

Asrock is out of the question tho. Have had really bad experience with their motherboards.

Thank you in advance,

I'm just waiting for the CPU prices to drop to complete my new build. I am using the X-QPACK2 M-ATX case, and unless something notable comes out in the next four weeks, will be using this mobo:

GIGABYTE GA-G33M-DS2R LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - $134.99

As for any M-ATX boards I've actually used, I've built 3 systems for others over the last year or so that used this:

BIOSTAR I945G-M7 V2.X LGA 775 Intel 945G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - $79.99
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813138040

This is not an enthusiast's mobo, but has served very well in all three non-gaming systems.

Actually, the G33 has caught my attention, but I am still hoping for a P35 mATX board. I was hoping one of you guys can point out such a motherboard, since I have had no success finding one so far.

Since this is going to be my only system (currenly using a socket 478 Prescott CPU with a compatible mATX Asrock motherboard), I would like it to be based on an enthusiast motherboard.

How about AM2, any suggestions for that?

there is also a higher version of the AN-M2, the AN-M2HD.
this should have more BIOS tweaking options for overclocking than the "basic" AN-M2.

If I were to use AM2, I might choose this one:

BIOSTAR TA690G AM2 Socket AM2 AMD 690G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard With HDMI Port

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813138057

I have this board and its preety good except it does NOT have Firewire ports and the SPDIF IN as an optional connector that i cant find anywhere tha tyou must plug into the board.

other then those two issues though its great.
