Am2 on ddr3

hi everyone,

i had this AMD Athlon 64 x2 D-Core 5000+ processor. im planning to get a mboard for this that run in a DDR3 memry, is there be? and one more, do my cpu run in a 64 bit os?

64 bit - yes

DDR3 - Only found 1, which is DDR2 OR DDR3, but not both at the same time, which is kinda cool.

ASRock N68C-S UCC is the only board that support ddr2 and 3 in amd

your cpu support 64bit os

but this athlon cpu lacks ddr3 controler and thus you cannot use ddr3 with it

true is right, after further reading:

So if CPU lacks ddr3 controller you cant use ddr3 Ram but you can use ddr3 Graphics card?
