am2 or am2+ ?

Hello people .. i have asus m3a78 motherboard .. and amd 9650 am2 processor and amd 545 am2+ processor .. wich processor better for gaming and faster .. hope you guys can help me .. thank you

The 9650 is a quad core, but slower clock speed. The 545 is newer and has higher clock speed but is only dual core. Even though it is dual core, clock speed almost always wins for gaming.

With those old AMD CPUs clockspeed counts for a lot. Also, realistically you wouldn't want to play any game that needs a quad core, so I'd go with the dual core 545.
