Hi everyone,
I came to know my motherboard had a factory malfunction for the PCIE 16 slots so I can't use the first slots which is determinant to enable the SLI function.

I don't have much money, I wanted to upgrade my processor, motherboard and ram all at the same time. Now I got to face the crude reality I can just buy a new motherboard and a cheaper cpu maybe if it worth it.

I got a AMD FX-8350 Black Vishera which is really stable for overclocking and great I believe.
Do you know a better AM3+ processor than AMD FX-8350 Black Vishera?

Thank you,

David G.

There really isn't a better AM3+ CPU than what you have. Any gains would be minimal, at best, if at all.

You really need to save for a modern AMD (AM4 based) or Intel system to warrant the expense of changing the CPU.

Without going to the stupid 220Watt monsters, that as Thor said, dont really make much of a difference, what you have is about the best 8 core FX.

Not that that says much, I went from FX back to PII, I found FX so bad. Start saving for a Ryzen, even a mid spec 1000 series will outperform your FX by a very wide margin.

I agree with the above - don't bother 'upgrading' to any pre-Ryzen AMD CPU. AMD's older architectures have horrible power efficiency and much lower throughput per core. A Ryzen 1600 CPU down-clocked to 3GHz will probably beat the FX9590 (5GHz) in most cases.
