am3+ heatsink on fm3+ board

im currently running an amd a6 5400k oc'd to 4300mhz. my friend is sending me his old fx6300 but dosen't have its heatsink anymore... i was wondering if the heatsink i have on my a6 will work on my new fm3+ board. the a6 is an am3+ socket. im not to worried about heat because i have a custom made pc box built into my desk with plenty of cooling. i just want to know if i can mount it
