Both builds look good. If you decide to go with the 4850x2 or plan to crossfire/SLI later, I'd get probably a 600W+ power supply. Also, that ram looks really cheap so I'm not sure if it's actually DDR3 which is the kind you need. And for the case, I'd def. recommend the CM RC-690. GL on ur build.

There's a pretty big performance/price gap between the GTX and 4850 x2 you have listed... Why not opt for the newer GTS 250 1GB?

Hands down the i7 system will outperform your AMD config. AMD is cheaper. Up to you, really.

Overclockers isn't really that great of a review site...I find them useful for finding out how far a CPU can be pushed, but not much more. The CM 690 case that was suggested has far superior airflow to the Guardian 921 and is extremely roomy for a mid tower, allowing for large heatsinks, long GPU's and superior cable management. I wouldn't say there is anything wrong with the Guradian 921, but its just not as good as the 690.

I wasn't aware they made 32" monitors...do you mean a 32" TV? If it is indeed a 32" monitor, and you want this to be a gaming rig, then you will need a lot more GPU power than any of the GPU's you listed, as it will be running at 25x16 resolution. I think for that, I would get a Phenom II build with two 4890's in xfire at the very least, to keep the price somewhat reasonable and decent gaming performance.

The GTS 250 won't be anywhere near enough to power that big TV monitor. I would recommend at the least a 4890 1GB (and that's the very least, probably won't get much out of games on high settings) but preferably a 4870x2 or 4870 in crossfire, whichever you want.

do you know if that TV adds in Black frames?

if it does then you won't have to worry about getting a more powerful gfx card.

edit: just read up on it and it calculates another frame after each frame so you only need 60fps to max it out, so the GTS 250 should do well enough for about 6 months.

Ridiculous, its only a 1080i display, a standard 22" monitor is similar in resolution. A 4850, not even X2, can do that in most games. A 4850X2 is more than adequate for that TV.

Remember guys, it's a 32 inch 1080p TV, not a 25x16 monitor. A single 4890 1GB would be enough for now (IMHO), with the option to cfire a second one later on.

That picture on newegg doesn't give great detail on the back of the receiver, but it appears to have optical inputs. Both of your motherboard choices have optical outputs. That is the best audio solution. At most you will need to purchase an optical cable as they are generally not included with the motherboard package.
