Hi,

I am having an issue I am hoping someone can assist with. I have a new AM4 board I am looking to put my 1600x into, the issue is the AIO I have needs to use the Corsair AM4 bracket. I have put in the supplies screws with the collar side down as per the instructions, but the thread of the screw does not go all the way to the back of the plate on the other side.

It screws in a portion, and feels tight, but there is quite a gap when looking at the backside of the backing plate , can be seen it is not using all the thread of the plate.

If I use the screws without the collar, the backing plate is loose...

Any idea what to do?

Its my understanding you just use the stock backplate, the one that came with the motherboard, its only the top clamp that needs to ba AM4 compatible, here's the instructions: http://www.corsair.com/en-eu/blog/2017/april/am4bracketinstallation

That is my issue, I am using the supplied AM4 standoffs to go into the board, but on the other side of the mobo, looking into the backing plate the screws are not coming to the end of the thread and being flush with the backing plate? Does that make sense?

What I am trying to say, and making a mess of, is on the backing plate that is on the board, the AM4 standoffs are, for argument sake, using 1mm of the 2mm thread.
