Question Am4 mobo question

I have a HP Envy 750-610. It has a basswood am4 mobo with a ryzen 5 1400. I will be upgrading it at some point in the future and plan to get a Ryzen r7 1700 and will want to OC which I can not do on this mobo. I will be using it for gaming. I'm interested to know a good cheap mobo for this.

How cheap?

HP claims it's an mATX form factor so taking that on face value that's what to look for.

But I'd be equally concerned about the PSU. Spec page says it's only 300W and it has an RX580 in it (if the copy i read is accurate). So if your intent is to overclock you might have to upgrade that too.

A couple good, cheap, mATX boards suitable for overclocking are Asrock B450m pro 4 and MSI B450m Gaming Plus.

Yea the psu is my next upgrade. Was gonna get a evga 600w from best buy. After that I was gonna find a cheap mobo and OC the 1400 until i can get a 1700. And a 1070 to go with it.
