Today I use Grizzly thermal paste for the first time and like a noob make a mess out of it. I manage to clean most of it but some gets into the holes of the pins. Should I leave it there? I don't have any idea on how to take it out. Help please!
First clean as much as you can from the surface without pushing more into the holes, then use a dry toothbrush to clean it out of the holes the best you can. Next, clean the toothbrush and lightly wet it with isopropyl alcohol, and use that on the holes. Repeat steps as necessary.
Clean it thoroughly, it will be fine. Lots of us have made the same mistake one way or another. Make sure you unplug the motherboard power first obviously, and let it sit overnight when you're done to make sure it's fully dried.
