I'm building a casual gamer/ Editing PC. Gaming as in CS:GO and Minecraft. Editing videos and photoshopping. I have a 960 4GB Nvidia on it, and its pushing my $750 budget a bit since tax isnt included on all the prices. I think ill be fine with a 2gb GPU maybe a little cheaper around 100-150. In my opinion it is the understand out of all the parts I have. Any suggestions on a replacement?

If you can get the 2GB version for 50%-75% of the price of the 4GB, you should definitely do it. The 4GB does perform better, especially at high resolution, but you don't need it for the games you list. If the 4GB version only costs $20 more, it's probably worth the extra cost.

im getting the GTX 950 2GB for $150. That helps with the budget alot actually. I dont even think i need anything THAT good either

The GTX 950 is a decent card, but you won't be running high/ultra settings @ 60 FPS. If you're not a hardcore gamer, you probably won't care. You may also be able to pick up a R9 380 for slightly cheaper than a 960 2 GB, and it is actually a slightly better card.

Please don't use a Corsair CX500 in that build - they are not good quality units. You can pick up a Seasonic S12II 520W for around the same price (price fluctuates around $60), and a much better power supply.

Ive heard from a lot of people that the Corsair power supply isnt good. Whats so bad about it? The R9 is for a gamer though, i think i need something at 1080p and thats 75-100 range. Nothing extreme, but say in the future i download fallout 4, i dont want it to not work good, i need something that can satisfy both that and csgo at a cheaper standpoint

They are rated for their capacity at only 86F (the inside of the PSU can easily get that warm). They use very cheap capacitors, don't provide very stable voltage/ripple suppression when under load, and are generally overpriced for what you get.

The 950 will run Fallout 4 fine in medium-high settings, but the 380/960 will run it better. My 970 struggles with the game at times (all settings cranked up, though).

Yeah I dont think I'll be playing games like that, I actually think I wanna go lower with the GPU since I'll be only CSGO pretty much. Thoughts?

Go for it. The 750 ti is still a pretty capable card, and the 950 will be able to play any game that releases for the next few years at totally playable settings.

Yup, and I can obviously upgrade in years to come. Thanks a lot for the help man I really appreciate it.

For some reason the 750 is the same price as the 950?
