Hi, i am new to pc building and just wanted some suggestions and opinions about this build.

Please suggest if I could possibly have a smooth virtual reality experience with this build and any way I could save some money. Also This about reaches my max budget and can't really go much higher. I will also like to play some new games on high settings 😛

Would it be useful to go to one of the newer processors? and also going to one of the newer graphics cards? Maybe a better motherboard or ram? or even a case?

Thanks so much for your help.

I never recommend using a YouTube video for PC parts. Prices fluctuate, and some YouTubers are sponsored by companies that sell PC parts, so there is potential bias. I helped my friend build a PC, and for $650, and it would perform better than that $1000 PC (that was in the video kapsharma12 linked). Here is the build I made. I left a case out so you can add whatever case you want, but the build is about the same price as the one you made, it has a better processor, better RAM, a better PSU, a better hard drive (it is more reliable and has triple the amount of storage),and the GPU I put is much much better. The GTX 1070 performs better than a GTX 980 Ti.
