I had posted posts of building a pc and a lot of people who answered it had choose items from amazon, the problem that is that Amazon doesn't give warranty for an item, they sell it. What if I want a Intel i7 and then in a couple of months is not working, well I loose $300. That's why I always said I prefer newegg because they gives 2-3 years of warranty for a item.

Solution
newegg offers an extended warranty, but will not cover the manufacturer
warranty. as a courtesy they do have an exchange or refund (policy differs
between item purchased). but the true warranty falls to the manufacturer
as the retailer isn't married to the part that was sold, that responsibility falls
onto the manufacturer for XXX days/months/years.

as to amazons coverage, depending on vendor used at amazon, they can
have coverage similar to the newegg policy or straight manufacturer
communications. but never a "lost" cause purchase (unless second-hand
or shipping damage.)

After 30 days, you contact the manufacturer for warranty. Be it Amazon or Newegg. Unless you buy extra from either.
