I want to get a tablet with a decent size screen (at least 10") and and plays/steams movies well. I will only use it for travel and I don't play mobile games. Is Amazon Fire the way to go? Is there any limitations for playing videos I download or transfer to the tablet? Is the resolution and network good enough for streaming? Or, should I stick with Android?

I guess, what I'm asking is: what are the drawbacks for having an Amazon Fire?

By default, the Amazon Fire tablets are strongly tied into the Amazon ecosystem.

Unless you know that is what you want, get a regular Android tablet.
