No, no WD BLACK SN8100. SanDisk WD_BLACK SN8100 it's correctly brand.
Sandisk, taking over the WD brand, changed the name of the flagship series to WD_BLACK due to better brand recognition of WD

That is the point I guess, to keep prices up... they keep pushing "faster models" instead of slower fatter with more capacity.

Im glad San Disk are keeping the WD_BLACK name i hope, they have a good reputation and if they tried to create an own gaming brand SSD it would be difficult to compete so by using a brand name well known its good idea.
I do feel that they have come to the Gen5 party late but hopefully lets see what its reviews are like

Admittedly, alongside my personal experiences with SanDisk, this also takes rebranded WD off my watch lists.

I think from what I read is WD moved the SSD line under Sandisk while WD focus on HDD market.
