[SOLVED] Amber light instead of green

My computer is connected to my modem via an ethernet cable. Yesterday I was receiving my entire internet speed and there was a green flashing light on the ethernet port I was using. Today, however, there is an orange (amber) flashing light and the internet speed is slower.

I have checked the Duplex setting and it is auto on both the computer and modem. I have also swapped the cable and port.

I would appreciate any kind of help.

try to reset your modem if this does not solve your issue contact isp .

It just turned back to green alone...

We have lots of fixes, but explanation, requires a p.h.d.$$$ 😀

But u don't need to pay us, because we consult the manual like everybody should but don't. The NIC manual will tell you what the yellow light exactly signifies, and is different from NIC to NIC.

Once in a blue moon happenstance, who has the time to analyze. Happens all the time, come back and ask again, hopefully AFTER u have consulted the manual.
