AMD certainly needs a shot in the arm of its consumer graphics cards business.
As dismal as that seems, I'm sure their penetration in datacenter & AI is even worse.

AMD needs to finally make the same commitment that Nvidia has, regarding compute support on their graphics products. Today, you can buy any consumer Nvidia graphics card, plug it in, install the drivers, and CUDA SDK and you're good to go. The same is not true for AMD, and it's one big reason they've missed out on the AI boom. It's better than before, but hardware support is spotty and installation & setup is too involved. They should pledge to support compute on 100% of their GPUs for a minimum of 5 years since first sale. That includes APUs, which means they need to extend full support all the way back to Vega!

The good news for Huynh is that there's almost nowhere to go but up. That's a huge opportunity to grow their marketshare. We're practically talking low-hanging fruit, here.
