Hello mates , first post ever.
straight to the point:
I have an ASROCK 970 EXTREME 4 with an AMD 1090T, I overclocked for quite a while with this system but today something strange is happening.
I overclocked the system to 4Ghz 1.45v stable for a while and my temps were quite good, now instead with prime 95 the temps under load are 45 degrees on the hottest core , while the cpu temp is 70!!!!!!
I mean , is it possible such thing? I have a PHANTEKS ph-tc14pe which is a hell of a cooler, but c`mon 25 degrees difference between core and cpu mobo diode?
now what I have is a system that shutsdown when reaching 70-72 degrees and it is quite stressing me up.
when I bought the ASROCK I got it with a faulty NB diode that is giving me always 90 to 120 degrees, so am thinking that the cpu diode went f@@@ed up as well.
I tried to reseat the phanteks and I applied new IC DIAMOND 7 CARAT , but nothing always shutting down with 70 degrees cpu and 45 degrees hottest core.
am using AIDA 64 , SPEEDFAN, AMD OVERDRIVE,ASROCK EXTREME TUNER AND HWINFO64 , all giving me the same temperatures.
is there a way to disable the auto-shutdown in the bios as I cannot find it?
please help guys, I wanna play some games during my day off.....
cheers
