First off currently i have an AMD 3700+ and have over clocked it to 2.420ghz. i went into the bios and only changed the HTT i think from 200-220 hence giving me a 220mhz overclock. i have read countless overclocking guides but don't completely understand them, is how iv done this ok or do i need to do it another way? Also i have the stock heat sink/fan which currently runs at 3000rpm or so, can i make it faster? thanks

hey thanks.yeah my mobo has a program called "warpspeeder utility" where i can adjust it from in windows and i got upto 2.64 by just upping frequency. i read 1 particular guide that tested different 3700's stepping and such and found that the "kacae" ( i also have it) can be pushed to speeds of about 3.2 or around 3 on air cooling. sounds sweet.i would like something around 2.4-2.6 with stock but don't know much about the whole "if i change 1 thing i have to adjust the other with relation to it" so yeah lol....thanks alot

no, i have tried it but hav never used it to game or anything, i tried 3dmark 05 but yeah thats it. that is why i want to do it in the bios and do it properly.

i was using it to test stability. i tried superPi and ran 1m got 37 seconds stock i think and overclocked 2 2.4 and got 36....wtf?

ahhh thank you. what u said actually makes more sense then every guide i have seen so far. it all makes sense now. thanks alot 4 ur help mpilchfamily you have helped me alot. thanks
