Im running a gigabyte r9 270x i i optimized bf4 with the amd gaming evolved app. i lost alot of fps before i had min of 45 a high of 75 an avg of 60. after i unparked my cores and did a config in game i was getting huge spikes but it was around 120fps down to 75 and went up and down. but once i optimized i was at 35 then i realized that the drivers where out of date tried updating to 4.14 and the display audio and usb filter drivers failed to install. I already tried amd clean remover thing then re installed nothing. i tried through device manager and it says access denied when trying to manually update. i just want to get any driver to work right now i have no display driver and its pissing me off. i have been trying everything for hours any ideas would help my head hurts.

Honestly, it might just be worth it to stick to version 13.2 if that's the most stable version you have right now. Wait for AMD to put out the next update, and pray to whatever gods you worship that they don't screw it up like they did with 14.4. I finally figured out how to roll everything back and I'm running beta 13.11 again. My HDMI audio drivers are fully functional once more.
I've been having the exact same problem with the Mobility version of the 14.4 drivers. At least this means I'm not alone on this anymore. When I updated, the installer just completely wiped my AMD High Definition Audio Device driver, so now if I want to hook my laptop up to my television via HDMI, the sound will only play through my laptop speakers and not the television speakers. I didn't think to save the last set of drivers I had, and AMD isn't smart enough to pull an Nvidia and add a simple "rollback drivers" button to the Catalyst Control Center, so I'm stuck like this until the next update, or if someone provides me with the Mobility 14.3 or 13.12 drivers for Windows 8 64-bit. I really hope someone can help you out, but, and I hope they can help me too.

Im not really sure on what i did cuz i did alot and nothing worked. i figured i would try in safe mode i ran driver sweeper got rid of all amd registery keys with it ccleaner Microsoft malware cleaner. amd clean uninstall i coulding install drivers in safe mode wouldnt let me. once i tried to reboot and start normal it just kept booting in safe mode by default. had to go to msconfig and under safe mode boot selected minimal. also in device manager i manually updated once agian but this time it said up to date instead of access denied. once i restarted my screen resolution was normal and now have 13.2 of ccc installed. So thats GREAT aleast i can play my games now. BUT i still cant update to 4.14 same error as before i will not do a clean uninstall agian. SO would really appreciate it if someone can help us figure this thing out.
